Many of you must be concerned about the protection of your World of Warcraft (WoW) account. It is not at all difficult and with three easy steps you can safeguard your beloved account.

1. Through Account Management

Many people get confused whether to provide accurate personal information or not. Filling up the account building form with correct details is very essential for the betterment of your WoW account. Likewise the requirement of an email id is for your own benefit. A valid and working email account becomes helpful to retrieve the necessary information if any problem occurs in your WoW account. Through a registered email account, it is easy to get access by Blizzard.

Another tip to safeguard the WoW account is to select the username and the password that is unique. It is better to choose the username and password that you have never used earlier. Always set a strong password for your account. The security question is another feature which you come across while creating the WoW account. Never tell anyone about it. Along with it the original registered CD-KEY must be kept safe.

2.Do not use game hacking software

Play fairly and do not indulge yourself in using unfair means to win the game. There are people who offer game hacking software and claim to have a program for availing golds in WoW and etc. For obtaining such program, they need you to download them or demand for your account details. This is a fraud to get your username and password secretly and harm your account.

3.Make sure that your computer is safe

Use virus protection software for running the computer safely. Arrays of such program are easily available. Update it from time to time for a better performance. A malware scanner helps to locate if any virus is there in your computer system. Malware scanner scans those viruses that by-pass the anti-virus system easily. Firewall also helps to secure the data and keep the unwanted elements out of your computer.

Why Do People Buy WoW Accounts?

World of Warcraft has been around for a looooong time now and that fact is that some people have been playing it for a lot longer than others. You might have friends who have been playing the game for years, whilst you’re pretty new to it. You’ve probably heard stories about people being massively addicted to WoW, resisted the urge for a long time and now are ready to give in to it! But if your friends are level 80, and you’re starting out at level 1, that’s going to mean you’ll be playing for months before you can enjoy the most fun aspects of the game with your friends.

A solution to this is purchasing a WoW account that already has characters at the required level, that you can get straight into and start customizing. The alternative option is to pursue a power leveling service, but even with this you’ll find yourself waiting atleast a few weeks in order power level you to the right level. And even then, you’ll likely only have one character to play with, and pay a lot more per-character than if you’d bought a WoW account with multiple high level characters already on it.

There is something of a stigma attached however – players tend to connect WoW account sales with power leveling services and gold selling, and fear that buying an account will just lead to banning. This is far from the truth, and whilst Blizzard isn’t crazy about accounts being sold, they will not ban you for having an account transfered to you. They are well aware of the issues mentioned above and are willing to turn a blind eye to such transactions if it means that people can enjoy the world of Azeroth.

In the coming weeks we’ll look at various other considerations when purchasing a WoW account, to ensure you get exactly what you want and make sure you don’t get your fingers burned in the process.
